Our story
VONFIDEL began with K9 work in 2009.
The name began with canine work in Sri Lanka. Equestrian travel and strategic advisory followed, becoming the businesses now known as Vonfidel Ranch and Cognisive.
The name
A name drawn from fidelity
Alfie Ameer coined VONFIDEL in 2009 within the canine practice. It referred to the trust between dog and handler, built through clear communication and consistent work.
The work required attention to the dog's temperament, the handler's capability and the conditions in which training would be used.

VONFIDEL is the company behind Vonfidel Ranch, Cognisive and VONFIDEL K9. Each business retains its specialist work and deals directly with its clients.
Lakewood Mounted Estate is in development: a forthcoming equestrian estate in Sri Lanka, planned around riding, horsemanship and estate stays.
